OXIDANT | ENGINE : Issue 10

Bryan D. Price

To distinguish between everything and almost everything

I meant to meditate on Saturday

now the time is out of joint always

worried fragile anxious—naked

as if coming out of the shower

the next day going into cornfields

the smell and color of a jackdaw’s nest

where all and none are welcome

among the poison in the streams

among the whole line of catacombs

from the age of permanent revolution

from the age of Athene when

fatherhood was not recognized—

conception being attributed to the wind
